Hi, my name is Ginevra Simoncini, and I am currently studying Biodiversity and Evolution at the University of Bologna. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Biology, I had the amazing opportunity of being part of the Glocal Education project. I spent six months in Madagascar, on the island of Nosy Be, and then another six months in the Maldives, on the island of Dhiggiri. Being a Glocal Educator brought me to discover incredible places, meet new people and gave me the chance to share and communicate the importance of delicate natural ecosystems to visiting tourists, thus raising environmental awareness. Currently, back in Italy, I am working on the research behind Glocal Education, as this will be the subject of my master’s thesis which I also hope to public on a scientific journal.
